Abstract Pumpkin, as a dietary plant, has been used in traditional medicine around the world. In addition, during thelast decade, antidiabetic, antihypertensive, antitumor, intestinal antiparasitic, antibacterial, antihypercholesterolemia, anti
inflammatory, immunomodulatory and analgesic effects of pumpkin has been reported. There are various isolation techniques. But the present study focus the simple, reliable analytical method for isolation of bioactive compounds from pumpkin seed oil(PSO).In this preliminary studies have been done for the phytochemical and chromtographic analysis studies. The study shows the results of high content of linoleic acid. Secondly the circular chromatography studies reveals the presence of fatty acids. Based on this types of isolation, pumpkin seed oil have been proved to useful pharmaceutical tool.
Keywords Pumpkin seed oil, Phyto chemical and Chromatographic analysis, fattyacids, triglycerides, linolenicacids, pharamacological activities.
