Abstract | William Wordsworth’s life and his works are bound together that it is impossible to speak of the one without reference to the other. The role and impact of women in his life which has reflected in the lines in his poems is what is the focus laid. Three women of whom we know a good deal play an important part in his life, and therefore in his poetry. They are Annette Vallon, Mary Hutchinson, later Mary Wordsworth, and Dorothy Wordsworth. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the contribution and impact of women in the life and works of the great nature poet, William Wordsworth. |
