Abstract | Babur's victory over Ibrahim Lodi in the First Battle of Panipat marked the beginning of the Mughal or Mughal Empire in the Indian subcontinent. The Mugal emperors were of Turko-Mongol origin and Muslim from Central Asia. The classical era of the Mugal Empire began with the accession of Akbar in 1556. During the rule of Akbar and his son Jahangir, the economic progress in India advanced a lot.As a result of the various steps taken by the Mugal emperors, a gradual evolution was observed in the socio-economic life. |
