Abstract | The study seeks to determine the influence of work-life balance on job satisfaction of employees in merchandising enterprises in the City of Mati, Davao Oriental, Philippines. To achieve the objectives of the study, a correlational research design was employed to analyze data collected through a structured survey questionnaire. The 389 respondents were selected using a purposive sampling method. The collected data from the survey were analyzed through multiple linear regression and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The study discovered that most of the indicators of work-life balance have a significant influence on job satisfaction. It was also discovered that there is no significant difference in work-life balance when grouped according to age and gender. There is also no significant difference in job satisfaction in terms of age, however, results showed a significant difference in job satisfaction in terms of gender. This study will contribute to the existing literature as it can give benefit to employees and employers in merchandising enterprises. The findings could give employees the opportunity for better working conditions and could also help employers and managers in designing policies that can attract and retain qualified employees. |
