Abstract The research delves into the constitutional dimensions of live-in relationships among married individuals, scrutinizing the maintainability of such cases before a constitution bench. It also examines the constitutional validity of Section 498 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in light of Articles 14 and 21, as well as the potential violation of Article 15 by Section 198(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). The exploration aims to unravel legal intricacies surrounding live-in relationships within the framework of fundamental rights in India.
