Abstract This study investigated strategies aimed at enhancing oral communication skills among secondary students through a mixed-methods approach. The research design integrated quantitative assessments and qualitative data collection methods to gain comprehensive insights into the effectiveness of various approaches. Quantitative data were gathered through standardized assessments administered to measure students' oral proficiency levels before and after implementing specific strategies. These assessments included structured speaking tasks aligned with proficiency standards. Additionally, qualitative data were collected through interviews with secondary language teachers and learners to provide perspectives on the perceived impact of the strategies on students' oral communication skills. Findings revealed significant improvements in students' oral proficiency levels following the implementation of tailored approaches, highlighting the importance of student-centered methodologies in fostering effective oral communication skills development. These findings contribute to the ongoing discourse on language education and have implications for instructional practices aimed at promoting communicative competence among secondary students.
