Abstract | The advent of generative pre-trained transformers (GPT) marks a significant milestone in the field of Natural LanguageProcessing (NLP), with ChatGPT emerging as a notable example of this technological evolution. Developed by OpenAI,ChatGPT has demonstrated remarkable capabilities in generating human-like text, offering potential applications acrossvarious sectors, including education, healthcare, and customer service. This paper provides a comprehensive overviewof ChatGPT, exploring its development, underlying technology, applications, ethical considerations, and futureimplications. By synthesizing existing literature and case studies, this study aims to contribute to the understanding ofChatGPT's role in advancing NLP and its broader impact on society. |
