Abstract Electric vehicles reduce pollution only if a high chance of the electricity blend comes from renewable sources and if the battery manufacturing takes place at a point far from the vehicle use region. diligence developed due to increased electric vehicle relinquishment may also beget fresh air pollution. The Indian government has committed to working New Delhi’s air pollution issues through an ambitious policy of switching 100 of the light duty consumer vehicles to electric vehicles by 2030. This policy is grounded on vehicle grid commerce and relies on participated mobility through the electric vehicle line. There are several mortal behavioural changes necessary to achieve 100% relinquishment of electric vehicles. This paper reviews different ways in the lifecycle of an electric vehicle (EV), their impact on environmental emigrations, and recommends programs suitable for different socio- profitable group that are applicable to the Indian request. To reduce air pollution through relinquishment of electric vehicles, the Indian government needs to borrow programs that increase trade of electric vehicles, increase chance of renewable energy in the electricity blend, and help air pollution caused from battery manufacturing. The recommended programs can be customized for any request encyclopaedically for reducing air pollution through increased relinquishment of electric vehicles.
