Social Marketing in India: A Historical Perspective

Abstract This article examines the inception of the application of social marketing in India, a country where the economic and social predicament has made the use of social marketing imperious. Since the very beginning of the implementation of social marketing strategies in India through various mediums there have been consistent gaps. Therefore, this paper tries to examine various aspects of social marketing and also identify the concerned gaps.
