Abstract | Motivation is one of the most substantial psychological concepts in education. It can be inferred from the accomplishment of personal goal-setting and developing a curiosity in the subject area. It has a very considerable role in the success of learning carried by each individual. That means the more the learning motivation of the individual, the more the achievement and learning outcomes to be accomplished. Research shows that learners with strong motivation can achieve a lot. They have the inner strength to learn, discover, improve academic performance, and adjust in every situation. The success of learning depends on the learner's motivation. But the unmotivated students may likely learn very little and commonly make teaching unbearable and frustrating. Since education is mandatory for everyone nowadays, teachers can not take learners' motivation for granted. They have a major responsibility to assure that the learners are motivated. Therefore influencing students' motivation to learn is the thrust of this article. The submitted study explores how motivation is important for students and which technique can be used by teachers to generate motivation among their students. |
