Abstract | Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a robust methodology that helps us in communicating effectively in various areas of life. Richard Bandler and John Grinder proposed NLP in the 1970s after analyzing the success of therapists Virginia Satir, Fritz Perls, and Milton Erickson. Nadiem Makarim, the current Indonesian Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, applied the NLP Meta Model Technique in his speeches in English from 2020 to2022. He utilized three patterns of the Meta-Model: Deletion, Generalization, and Distortion. Applying this technique showed benefits in educational communication, such as building better relationships with listeners, clear communication of goals, effective communication, and increased charisma and flexibility. |
