Mentoring for Professional Development of Teachers of a Government College

Abstract Educational scholars and reformers have been looking at the challenges that new teachers face in teaching. Traditionally teaching does not have support, guidance, orientation, induction etc. With the advice and support of a relatively experienced mentor, it is easier for them to cope with new situations, adapt to the organization's environment, and improve their skills.
