Abstract | This research paper explores the impact of parenting styles on emotional intelligence (EI) of college students. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature and empirical studies, various parenting styles such as authoritative, authoritarian and permissive are analyzed in relation to their influence on the subject's emotional intelligence. The paper investigates how parental behaviors, communication patterns, and disciplinary approaches shape one's ability to recognize, understand, and manage their own emotions as well as those of others. For this purpose 100 college students between the ages of 18 to 25 were taken from urban areas of Delhi NCR, India. |
