This research paper explores the obstacles encountered by Indian authorities in investigating and prosecuting white-collar crimes, with a particular focus on the Nirav Modi scandal. Through an analysis of regulatory failures, legal complexities, institutional deficiencies, and systemic challenges, the paper sheds light on the complexities of combating financial fraud in India.
