Abstract	The paper deals with international and national approaches taken towards protection of rights of child by several international conventions and Indian constitution provisions. No country has ever been fully successful in protecting rights of child but various steps have been taken by time to time to ensure the protection of rights of child. these approaches have different objectives but meeting the end towards child's welfare.
