Abstract | The three Upstambha (Aahar, Swapna, and Brahmchraya) that describe in the Ayurvedic Samhitas. These three Upstambha hold the body. The body gains strength, firmness, and Varna by carefully using these three pillars. Aahar, the first Upstambha, is helpful for keeping the body in a healthy state. However, people are now consuming improper foods in the wrong combinations. Certain drugs and dietary combinations that have traits in opposition to body elements may decrease the body's immunity. Such types of foods are referred to as Virudha Aahar in old Ayurvedic texts. This article describes how individuals nowadays consume Virudha Aahar and how it has adverse effects on the human health. What impacts do they have on each physiological system of human body? |
