Abstract | This paper reviews the transformative role of additive manufacturing (AM) in automotive engineering, offering a detailed analysis of its impact, current trends, and future potential. Initially used for rapid prototyping, AM has become a critical technology for producing complex, lightweight, high-performance automotive components. The study reviews key AM technologies such as Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), and Stereolithography (SLA), showcasing their applications in creating intricate geometries and functional parts that enhance vehicle performance. |
