Abstract This paper examines the utilization of eco
friendly energy sources such as solar and wind power in our
computer systems with an aim to address climate change. It
gives details on reducing the energy consumption levels of
computers and offers instances where this has been
achieved. However, they can be overcome. Also, it looks at
how this transition would impact the environment compared
to what we currently have. In addition, it is not only about
saving the world; it also talks about how communities and
economies might be affected through aspects such as job
creation. Lastly, for both environmental and moral reasons,
this paper emphasizes switching over to renewable energy
sources in the area of computing. To achieve this call, more
research should be done. More innovation should also be
carried out while seeking others team that may want to join
hands in making these things a reality.
