Abstract This study investigates how Omanis navigate the diverse world of Arabic language use. Arabic, the official language, coexists with a rich tapestry of dialects across Oman. The research explores how Omanis choose between formal Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and informal dialects in different social settings (family, social media, education).
