Abstract | Cities are important to national and or regional economies because they are focal points for important activities like trade, commerce, industry and government administration. Cities are also centers of education, health care, technological innovation, entrepreneurship and governance. But despite these advantages, most of the cities face significant problems. A large segment of urban population suffer from the problems of degradation of environment and lower quality life, which is proved by various studies conducted in India. |
