Abstract One of the most atrocious and brutal genocide of the 20th century took place in Bangladesh during the liberation war of 1971. The Bengali was suppressed by the internal colonial process of the Pakistani ruler since 1947. Subsequently, they ignored the result of 1970 election and create uncertainty to transfer the power to the leader of the Bengali, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Rather than ceding authority, the administration of West Pakistan began genocide against the Bengali people on March 25, 1971, and it persisted until December 16, 1971. During this time, around 3 million people suffered martyrdom.
