Academic Procrastination among NEET Aspirants

Abstract This study evaluated the levels of academic procrastination among NEET aspirants who appear for the common entrance exam-NEET in the national level. The competition is very high. The sample consisted of equal male and female aspirants from Dakshin Kannada district of Karnataka. Distribution show that majority 66.5 percent of the aspirants fallen in the moderate level of procrastination followed by 20 percent had low level procrastination and 13.5 percent high level of procrastination. Independent sample t test revealed a significant mean difference between male and female NEET aspirants. Male aspirants found to have higher level of academic procrastination compared to female aspirants.
