Abstract | A disability is any condition, whether mental or physical, that hinders a person from carrying out specific tasks (activity limitation) or from engaging with their environment (participation restrictions). "Children with disabilities, as defined by the CRPD, are those who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairments which, when combined with various barriers, may hinder their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis. |
