Abstract | In the pursuit of inclusive education, India's National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) emerges as a pivotal framework, harmonizing with the global aspirations outlined in Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4). This study delves into the intricate tapestry of NEP 2020, exploring its foundational principles and implementation strategies aimed at fostering equitable educational opportunities for all, particularly marginalized communities. By synthesizing data from a myriad of secondary sources, including government publications, academic research, and international reports, this analysis illuminates the policy's impact on the educational landscape. The findings reveal both the successes and the challenges in aligning NEP 2020 with SDG 4, highlighting the disparities in its implementation across different regions and communities within India. This paper not only evaluates the effectiveness of NEP 2020 in promoting inclusive education but also offers recommendations for policy adjustments to enhance its alignment with global educational standards. Through this exploration, the study contributes to the broader discourse on inclusive education, providing insights that are crucial for policymakers, educators, and stakeholders committed to the universal right to quality education. |
