Abstract | This paper explores the integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with Natural Language Processing (NLP) to extract location-based insights from textual data. GIS provides spatial context while NLP processes unstructured data to gain meaningful information, enabling a wide range of applications from urban planning to disaster management. The paper reviews existing methods, presents case studies, and discusses the challenges and opportunities in this field. It also provides a conceptual framework for the integration of GIS and NLP, with examples of real-world applications. |
