Author(s) Sunita Sinha
Country India
Abstract With deep insight into the racial problems that have been confronted by
Blacks since their existence, Toni Morrison has boldly projected the
prejudices and racism faced by African American Women and explicitly
exposes the long struggle that Blacks have had against the exploitative
tendencies of the Whites. In my paper, I will analyze the selected
novels of Toni Morrison, namely, The Bluest Eye, Sula, and Beloved.
My thrust area in these novels of Toni Morrison will be on the theme of
race and gender, which is persistent and is rendered as an entirely
different perspective in each of her novels.
Keywords Apartheid, Slavery, Gender, Oppression, Racism, Humiliation, Sexism, Ethnicity.
