A Study on Covid-19 Pandemic: An Impact on High School Education in Jharkhand

Abstract Education is the pillar of any nation; it builds the skills,knowledge and human resources of a nation.Health and education is a major concern for any nation and keeping its countrymen healthy and educated is the responsibility of the nation's.The outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) has declared by WHO a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC).In this paper, we are discussing about covid-19 and its impact on high school education in the jharkhand context.A high school is a secondary school, where teenagers are educated before starting college or getting jobs.It is an empirical paper where a literature review is d to understand the concept of Jharkhand schools in the context of online education, the importance of education and COVID 19 impacts on education from the perspective of parents, teach and students. For this purpose, a total of 30 respondents were selected from public sector schools of Ranchi.Data collection is done using questionnaires and independent sample test.Results of the study disclosed that online classes are the best solution in a pandemic and the tool is embraced by both the gender stakeholders equally. However, a few critical aspects that need a solution in this context are identified as trained teachers.
