Abstract | The research will begin with the content and strategy of study the impact of entrance in buildings. Shelter being one of the primary needs of man, it is not surprising that first place looked in where caves. As mankind progressed, so did his lifestyle pattern evolve? When man started his forms, it was the entrances on which much emphasis was laid, form the ‘colonnaded porched entrances of the Romans’ to the ‘massive arched ones of the Mughal’. Entrance gone through a lot of changes due to the changing requirements in today’s context. Entrances is the means to enter the safeguard, space enclosed 3-dimensionally hence preventing from exterior space enemies' space, animals and from tragedies of climate and personal privacy. The scale and the treatment of the entrance can itself are useful only to provide a visual clue to the nature of space being entered. |
