Abstract	The salen type complexes of Fe(III) Schiff base were synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy, electronic spectra and thermal analyses. Catalytic study has been carried out for selected redox reactions. Antimicrobial activity of these compound has also been studied.
