Abstract | In recent years, the landscape of work has undergone a significant transformation due to the proliferation of remote jobs and the digital age’s global connectivity. This shift has impacted various facets of individuals’ lives, including sleep patterns and dietary habits. My interest in this research topic, titled “The influence of remote work on sleep patterns and dietary habits,” stems from both personal observations and its broader societal implications. Personally, I have seen a lot of people in the society struggling to maintain a healthy work life balance while working remotely. As remote work becomes more common, I’ve noticed surprising changes in people’s sleep patterns and eating habits. These observations lead me to investigate how remote work affects the well-being of employees. What fascinates me is that remote work offers amazing flexibility and convenience, but it can also disrupt sleep, increase stress, and lead to less healthy eating choices. It’s essential to understand how remote work impacts sleep and eating habits, especially as traditional office settings are being replaced by virtual ones. The COVID 19 pandemic sped up this transformation, making the topic even more relevant. In this project, I’ll explore how remote work affects sleep and eating habits, addressing the research question: What happens to the sleep and eating habit in today’s world of remote jobs? And how does this impact your overall wellbeing? By investigating this issue, I hope to contribute to a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the modern work environment and promote healthier, more sustainable work practises. |
