Recoding Utopian Fellowship in 20th Century Bengal: An Interpretation from the perspective of Socio-Economic Study

Abstract	The concept of Utopia, originally proposed by Thomas More in 1516, describes an ideal, perfect society. In the 20th century, this idea has been applied to Bengal's social economy, including cooperatives, mutuals, associations, foundations, social enterprises, and paritarian institutions that share common values. Despite political turmoil affecting Bengal since the late 1980s, exploring the Utopian notion can help analyze and develop specific branches of Bengal's socio-economy. This approach may provide a foundation for future progress, potentially establishing a successful social economy in Bengal that, while not perfect, aligns with Utopian principles. Can these sectors effectively embody Utopian ideals in shaping Bengal's socio-economic landscape?
