Assessing the Reliability of Self-Driving Cars: A Comprehensive Analysis

Author(s) Ada Singh
Country India
Abstract This review paper explores the ethical issues surrounding the deployment of self-driving cars, with a particular focus on the well-known trolley problem. As autonomous vehicles transition from concept to reality, they must be programmed to handle moral dilemmas, such as deciding whether to sacrifice one life to save several others in unavoidable accident scenarios. The paper examines various ethical frameworks and discusses how these principles can be integrated into the decision-making algorithms of autonomous vehicles
