Theoretical Review of the Impact of Covid-19 on Loans Performance- A Generic Approach to Reforms, Obstacles, and Future Opportunities-perspective from Zambia

Abstract	It is not a disputed fact that the COVID-19 pandemic has heavily disrupted economic activities in the whole world, thereby posing unprecedented obstacles to financial institutions, including our home-developed financial system and particularly in the Zambian banking sector. This journal examined the effect of COVID-19 on credit facilities in Zambian banks, enlisting the obstacles faced, and transformation achieved by commercial banks, as well as looking at the future opportunities for the bank's credit business operations and knowledge from industry practitioners. Further, the study sheds more insight into the numerous effects of the pandemic on banks' credit facilities' performance and appropriate recommendations for steering the emerging insights from industry experts, this study sheds light on the multifaceted effects of the pandemic on credit facilities and offers recommendations for navigating the evolving environment.
