Abstract | The expansion of e-commerce globally has fundamentally altered consumer preferences and business strategies. This study investigates these shifts by focusing on the Filipino Women Inventors and Innovators Network (FILWIN), which includes diverse leaders such as entrepreneurs, academics, scientists, and government officials from various sectors in the Philippines. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative data from surveys with qualitative insights gathered through open-ended questions, interviews, and focus group discussions with FILWIN members. This methodology allows for a comprehensive analysis of how these women leaders adapt to the evolving market demands and leverage innovative strategies in their respective fields. Although the study predominantly focuses on FILWIN members, which may limit its broader applicability, it underscores the necessity for extensive interdisciplinary research across diverse professional fields. The results are crucial for policymakers and industry leaders, providing them with valuable insights to promote gender inclusivity and foster innovation in the digital economy. This research provides original insights into the experiences of a unique yet understudied group of female leaders and enriches our understanding of gender dynamics in technological and social innovation, offering a solid foundation for further scholarly and practical explorations. |
