Abstract Tobacco smoke has been identified as a serious health threat. Passive smoking is breathing in the smoke of smokers, cigars or pipes. Smoking in pregnancy is associated with numerous complications for both mother and baby. Continuous exposure to passive smoke by pregnant women will directly affect the normal growth and development of the fetus.
