Abstract | An emergency braking system is a safety feature in vehicles designed to automatically apply the brakes in the event of an impending collision or other dangerous situation. The system utilizes sensors such as cameras, radar, and/or lidar to detect obstacles in the vehicle's path, and then activates the brakes to either prevent a collision or minimize its severity. Emergency braking systems are becoming increasingly common in modern vehicles and are an important component of overall vehicle safety. An emergency braking system is a safety feature designed to prevent or reduce the severity of accidents by automatically applying the brakes when it detects a potential collision or danger.
