A Study to Assess Anemia Level among Hearing Impaired School Students in Special School, Palakkad

Abstract	A descriptive study was conducted to assess anemia among hearing impaired school children in a special school in Palakkad. The objective of the study is to assess hemoglobin level among hearing impaired children. The sample size is 30 and purposive sampling technique is used. In data collection procedure, hemoglobin level of school children was assessed and grade of anemia was analyzed. The study findings is that normal haemoglobin leve1 is 6 (53.33%), mild anemia includes 12 (40%), moderate anemia zero and severe anemia includes 2 (6.67%). After the research and analysis, the study subjects were administered with iron supplementation.
