Abstract | Introduction: This study, Dr. Robert L. Spitzer's PHQ-9 scale is a reliable tool to measure the severity of depression. Recognizing the importance of mental health among the elderly in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Aim: To determine the prevalence and risk factors of depression in the elderly. Materials and Methods: To identify the prevalence and factors associated with depression in elderly population by using PHQ-9 Scale of 400 Cases. Conclusion: Data show the burden of depressive symptoms among seniors and underscore the urgent need for mental health care. fatigue, self-criticism and mental illness. |
