Advancements and Challenges in Recommender Systems: Applications in Banking and Finance

Author(s) Praneeth Reddy Amudala Puchaka

Abstract Recommender systems were implemented to assist individuals in determining the most appropriate product from the vast array of alternatives accessible to them. The concept that inspired their creation was that we frequently base our decisions on the opinions of our peers before attempting something new, such as before purchasing a laptop or smartphone, before going to the movies, before dining at a new restaurant, or even before seeing a doctor. To date, a large number of recommender systems have been created for many domains utilizing a variety of recommendation methodologies. However, there are still certain issues with recommender systems that require attention. An introduction to recommender systems, their numerous techniques, the application domains for which they have been developed, and their limits are all covered in this presentation.
