Abstract In business management, a control function refers to the process of monitoring, measuring, and
regulating various aspects of an organization's activities to ensure that they align with the
established goals and objectives. This function is crucial for achieving efficiency, effectiveness,
and accountability within an organization. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has
had a profound impact on the control functions of various industries. These control functions
encompass a range of activities including monitoring, automation, decision-making, and overall
management of industrial processes. For the sake the research paper and better understanding
for the readers we have divided Control Function into 5 components that are – Quality Control,
Feedback, Finance, Supply Chain,Market and Competitor Analysis and Customer Relationship
Management The paper will attempt to explain how each of the given components are impacted
by ICT and provide a Real-life industry example for each.
