Mob Lynching - A Social Evil

Abstract The word lynch is believed to have originated during the American Revolution. Mob lynching refers to harm threat and kill someone without any trial or legal procedure. From 2006 the number lynching cases are continuously increasing in India. India have million of user of social networking sites therefore fake news and rumors easily spread to all corner of the nation. The religious matters and failure of police have also fuelled violence. This paper is prepared through the review of relevant literature about mob lynching in India this study aims to study about rise of mob lynching, causes and pattern of mob lynching in India.
