Abstract | State Machines are instrumental when designing software with an event-driven execution pattern. However, when a complete state machine is just a tiny part of the bigger system, implementing the State Machine inside a thread benefits the overall program execution under certain conditions. QThread and QStateMachine are Thread and State Machine classes, respectively, provided by the QT framework that can be used by software programs to implement this technique to handle such scenarios, especially when sending the data from the State Machine to the main program becomes inevitable. |
