Abstract | This paper investigates the cultural, social, and genetic implications of different Gotra marriages versus inter-caste and inter-religious marriages. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, including forensic psychology, DNA fingerprinting, and forensic genetics, this comparative study explores the psychological, social, and genetic diversity in these forms of marriage. A review of literature, methodological approaches in genetic forensics, and forensic psychology are used to understand how societal norms, mental health, and genetic diversity intersect in these marriage types. |
