Abstract | The present study deal with the aqueous alcohol extract of Allium sativum (bulb), Phyllanthus emblica (fruits) and Curcuma longa (rhizomes) were used for relative analysis of antioxidant activity. Antioxidant activity was determined by DPPH (1,1-dipharyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) method and expressed with ascorbic acid. It was found that Phyllanthus emblica, Trigonella foenum graecum and Curcuma longa had more antioxidant activity than the Allium sativum. In combination for all four herbal drug were the in vitro antioxidant activity was more significant with DPPH radical scavenging potential. In vitro screening used for the study and evaluation of herbal drug for antioxidant activity in combination or individually. |
