Abstract | Triticum aestivum L. serves as a major global commodity with annual trade volumes reaching around 150 million tons. Wheat varieties including Sharbati, Black Wheat, Chawal Keti, and Sonamoti are extensively cultivated across many regions in India. Besides its nutritional value, wheat has medicinal importance especially for diabetic, cancer, and cardiac patients. These medicinal values are because of the presence of phytochemicals, which are natural compounds that offer health benefits, including antioxidant properties. This study focuses on the qualitative and quantitative assessment of phytochemicals from selected wheat varieties using standard protocols and analyzed with their ICP-OES and GC-MS reports. |
