Abstract | On the surface Christina Rossetti's poem "Goblin Market" appears to be an exotic poem with a fairy tale like atmosphere meant for children. But the poem implies more than what meets the eye. This paper attempts an interpretation of the implicit and explicit symbolism that will help the readers to read between the lines and comprehend the real purpose of the poem. |
