Abstract This report explores the intersection of Gender-Schema Theory and Social Cognitive Theory within the context of parenting styles. By examining how parents' gender schema and cognitive processes influence their parenting behaviors, the study aims to elucidate the mechanisms through which gender roles are transmitted and reinforced in family settings. The integration of these theories provides a nuanced understanding of the dynamics shaping child development concerning gender identity, behavior, and socialization.
