Cloud Disaster Recovery: Best Practices for Business Continuity in the Cloud

Author(s) Rajesh Basa
Country United States
Abstract Cloud computing has become a crucial element in modern business operations, with disaster recovery (DR) emerging as a vital component of a comprehensive cloud strategy. As cyberattacks, system failures, and natural disasters become more frequent, organizations are focusing on cloud-based DR solutions to
ensure business continuity and minimize financial losses. These solutions offer significant advantages over traditional on-premises systems, including lower recovery times, near-zero data loss, and cost savings of up to 50%. By utilizing strategies such as multi-tiered backups, multi-region failover, and leveraging cloud-native tools, businesses can align their DR plans with specific needs and compliance requirements, optimizing both resilience and costs.
