Evaluating Cash Versus Digital Payment Methods in Global E-commerce

Abstract | This research examines the roles of cash and digital payment methods in global e-commerce, focusing on transaction efficiency, security, and consumer preferences. While digital payments like credit cards and digital wallets offer convenience and speed, cash remains crucial in regions with limited technology due to its universal acceptance and privacy benefits. Despite growing digital payment adoption, cultural factors still favor cash in certain areas. The paper concludes that a balanced approach, integrating both payment methods, is essential for businesses to cater to diverse global consumer needs. |
