Transmedial Approach to the Poems of Imtiaz Dharker

Abstract	The convergence of different media to express strong emotions, which is termed as ‘transmediality’ in the recent studies has become more important in recent years due to easy access to different kinds of media and the lowered costs of media productions. Such an approach offers up interesting perspectives on the work of Imtiaz Dharker, a poet, documentary ﬁlm maker and visual artist, who illustrates her poetry collections with her own drawings, which “form an integral part of her books”.
